Matt from NSW Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi, we're booked at the Disneyland Hotel. I bought my park tickets separately (and have made park reservations) all linked to my Disney account. Is there anything extra needed to ensure park early access, linking park tickets to the hotel reservation?

Heya, hiya, Matt! I’m sending you a warm planDisney welcome from sunny California! I’m so excited to hear that your hotel and tickets are booked—your visit to the Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it! I hope you’re ready to experience the magic (and try all the snacks—especially the churros!).

Since you’ll be staying at the enchanting Disneyland Hotel, you'll be just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the parks! One of my favorite perks of staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel is Early Entry. As a Guest of the Disneyland Hotel, you’ll be able to enter the parks 30 minutes early each day to experience some beloved attractions. It's the perfect way to start your Disney day!

You shared your hotel is booked, your tickets are purchased, and your park reservations are confirmed—you're a planning pro! You also mentioned linking everything to your Disney account, which is fantastic. That's usually the next step I'd recommend, but you're already ahead of the game! Since everything is linked, you're all set for Early Entry—no extra steps needed. You’ll just scan your room key at the check-in area once you enter the park to ”automagically” start your day.

Early Entry alternates between parks, so if you’re staying for multiple days, you’ll have a chance to experience this perk at both parks! As of today, Early Entry is available at Disneyland Park on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and at Disney California Adventure Park on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. That can always change, of course, so keep an eye on the Early Entry page for the latest info. There, you’ll also find which attractions may be eligible.

Speaking of attractions, I love using Early Entry at Disneyland Park to sneak in an early morning ride on Space Mountain before zooming over to Fantasyland for a dose of classic Disney charm. Or, if I'm at California Adventure, you'll probably find me braving the free-falls of Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! before racing over to the Incredicoaster. Who needs morning coffee when you can have a thrilling start to the day?! (Okay, maybe I still need coffee...but the thrills are a great bonus!).

And, since you'll be visiting this summer, Matt, I also want to sprinkle in some details about the upcoming Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! This once-in-a-lifetime event kicks off on May 16, 2025, and celebrates seven decades of magic-making at the Happiest Place on Earth! If you're a fan of parades or millions of dazzling lights (or both!), you’ll love the Paint the Night parade. I experienced it during the resort’s 60th celebration a decade ago, and those vibrant memories are still sparkling! (That could, of course, be due to those millions of dazzling lights I mentioned!). There will also be brand-new entertainment, like World of Color Happiness! over at Disney California Adventure Park. If you've never experienced a World of Color show, prepare to be amazed by a breathtaking spectacle of water, projections, lasers, fantastic music, and even pyrotechnics! It's truly a feast for the senses.

You’re all set for a truly magical trip, Matt! If any more questions pop up, please don't hesitate to stop by and visit us again. We here at planDisney are always ready to help!
