Hi there, I booked a Disney World vacation for 4 there will be a 26 year old man who isn't really a disney fan. Are there things you could suggest to help make his vacation a bit more memorable and enjoyable?

    Hi, Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney.

You’d be surprised what a little Disney magic can do, even for the biggest skeptics. I’ve known plenty of friends visit The Most Magical Place on Earth thinking it’s "not their thing," only to leave with mouse ears and a longing to return next year. With the right mix of experiences, that 26-year-old in your group might just discover there’s more to love than he expected!

Here are a few ideas to make his trip more memorable:

    • Immersive lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Pandora - World of Avatar in Disney's Animal Kingdom have a way of making anyone's jaw drop. It feels like you’ve stepped into a movie set, and rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Avatar Flight of Passage never fail to satisfy.
    • If he likes thrills, introduce him to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom Park, and Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom. These rides are high-energy and seriously fun.
    • EPCOT’s World Showcase is great for laid-back exploring. He can sample international snacks, drinks, and music from 11 different countries. It's kind of like traveling the world without ever leaving Florida.
    • One of the best ways to win over a non-Disney fan is through dining! For a fun table-service experience, Teppan Edo in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion brings dinner and a show with skilled chefs cooking right at your table. And if you really want to make it special, try a signature dining spot like California Grill, where you can enjoy gourmet cuisine with sweeping views of Magic Kingdom Park (and even catch the fireworks!), or Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort, which offers an upscale European-inspired menu and breathtaking rooftop views.
    • Sometimes the best Disney memories aren’t made in the parks, but right at your home away from home. Whether you’re staying at a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe resort, there’s always something to enjoy, whether it's the lively pool areas with games and music, quiet spots to lounge with a drink, or even campfires and movies under the stars. If he needs a break from the hustle and bustle, a chill afternoon by the pool or an evening stroll around the resort can be the perfect reset.
    • Finally, don’t skip Disney Springs. A stop at Gideon’s Bakehouse for half-pound cookies and cold brew is a must. If he's up for something active, Splitsville Luxury Lanes offers bowling with surprisingly great food in a stylish setting. And if you want to wow him, check out Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil and Disney. It's one of my favorite shows!

I hope that's helpful, Elizabeth. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Happy planning!
