I booked a disney world vacation at the beginning of march. My grandson just turned 3 this week. Would he still qualify for 2 since he turned 3 after the booking?

Greetings, Lisa! Thank you so very much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help in planning your magical vacation. I have two very young kids, so I’m glad to lend some expertise for your situation. My daughter will be young enough to be considered a complimentary guest for a little while longer, while my elementary son is nearly tall enough for every ride!

Despite the date that you booked your package, your grandson will be charged per his age on the day of arrival to Walt Disney World Resort.  For example, if he turned three two days after you arrived on resort, he would be charged as a two year old for the entirety of your trip, but would be eligible for things like Simba’s Cubhouse or The Pirates League on his third birthday. If your grandson turned three before the day of arrival, he would be charged as a three-year-old for the entire trip. Be sure that you have the correct park admission tickets, and I’m sure he will be overjoyed to wear his very own MagicBand!

Have a wonderful family trip, and if I can be of any more assistance, please feel free to reach out! Hakuna Matata! ~Lindsey P.
