    I have booked a Disney Vacation for 4/25-5/2/09. I am wanting to get the Port Orleans Riverside but it is booked. I was wondering if there is any type of alert system where I could either get a text message or email if Disney receives a cancellation?

    I like the way you think!  I'd LOVE an alert system--maybe we should send that idea in!

    Unfortunately, there's no such animal right now.  But if you don't get the room you want, keep in mind that the earlier you call in the morning after Disney's 7:00 a.m. eastern opening at reservations, the better your chances of getting your room of choice. 

    On our past three trips, we've had to call multiple times to get the accommodations we wanted.  But we got them--persistence does pay off!
