    Booked a Disney vacation package. Need to know exactly when my dining plan starts; we will be arriving around 7PM at the resort on Jan 5 and leaving the resort about 10AM on Jan 11. Can I use DDP starting the night we get there or do they start Jan 6?

     Sarah, I'm so excited to hear you've booked a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. Your family is sure to have an incredible visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

     I'm also excited to hear you added the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package. My family loves the Disney Dining Plan for its convenience, flexibility, and value! You'll be pleased to know that your dining entitlements can be used on your arrival date (January 5) until midnight on your package reservation checkout date (January 11). Did you know you can redeem your meals and snacks in any order during your stay? You can keep track of your remaining entitlements on the My Disney Experience mobile app or by checking your dining receipts.

     In just a few days, you'll be able to make your dining reservations for your entire length of stay! I recommend making a reservation for at least one Character Dining Experience during your vacation. These special meals are super great because you get to enjoy delicious food AND the company of your favorite Disney characters, all in one place! My family especially loves Chef Mickey's, Tusker House Restaurant, and The Crystal Palace. We also enjoy restaurants with unique atmospheres like Sanaa and San Angel Inn Restaurante. Just thinking about all these amazing restaurants is making me hungry!
