Greetings, Krystle, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so happy to hear that you are booked and ready to visit Walt Disney World Resort. I hope you are feeling all the emotions and excitement of planning, preparing, and of course, counting down until your arrival date. Then, when you finally arrive, you’ll get to experience another round of emotions. Just think of all the
memories you’ll be making!
When it comes to your theme park days it truly depends on how you booked your vacation. Since you booked a package different factors may impact your theme park ticket start and end dates. The theme park tickets will usually correspond to match your resort reservation dates. I do recall booking a complete package one year where our arrival date allowed us to visit the theme parks, but we ended up waiting until the next day because of how late our flight arrived. Again, I recommend double-checking your vacation package details by
contacting a Cast Member for better clarification. They will be able to pull up all of your package details with your reservation number and give you a definite answer.
Something else to consider is what my family likes to do year after year. Rather than enjoying the resort in the beginning, we take a mid-trip break. It’s the perfect refresher for our family since we tend to open and close the theme parks each day of our trip. The mid-trip break allows us to sleep in, rest our feet, and lounge at the pool. We even squeeze in a
character dining experience or visit to
Disney Springs on our “break day”. This allows us to still enjoy all the magic Walt Disney World has to offer, plus gives us the chance to dine and shop without holding a schedule. My husband won’t admit it, but “break day” is his absolute favorite because we always make a trip to
Port Orleans French Quarter for
beignets. If you haven’t tried those, please do, they are a personal must!
Krystle, I hope this helps and I wish you the most magical visit yet!
