Hello Chuck,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. The great news is that your Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it, so let's see if we can get some of those dining plans sorted out so that you can focus on making some magical memories!
I know it can be frustrating to try restaurant after restaurant with no luck at finding an open reservation. From experience I can tell you that a lot of people book reservations right at the 60 day window and end up canceling them as their plans change. So keep checking. On more than one occasion I have begun my Walt Disney World vacation with no reservations and ended up being able to either secure same day reservations or be added to a walk up list for
Tusker House Restaurant,
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen,
The Hollywood Brown Derby, and so much more.
In the meantime, using
My Disney Experience app on a mobile device is helpful for being able to see ALL restaurants that have availability for a given date and time. I don't know how large your party is, but I was able to find several restaurants with tables for a party of 4 on June 1. If you haven't tried this, maybe it will help you.
In the My Disney Experience app, click the plus sign in the bottom center of the screen. Select
Check Dining Availability. Enter your party size, including children under 3, so that you'll be seated at a table with enough space for your entire party. Select the date you want to dine; you can swipe left to scroll through different months. Choose a time or meal timeframe. Selecting a meal will give you more options, but if you are specifically looking to have breakfast at 7:00 AM, you can choose that as well. You'll be shown a listing of all the restaurants throughout Walt Disney World that have tables open for your chosen meal or time, and you can make reservations right from the app. Remember that to dine at a restaurant inside a theme park, you'll need to have a
park reservation and park ticket for the day of your reservation.
If this doesn't help, and you have no luck getting a reservation to the table service restaurants of your choice, you won't go hungry. There are some delicious counter service restaurants.
Satu'li Canteen in Disney's Animal Kingdom,
Sunshine Seasons or
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in EPCOT, and even
ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios are solid choices.
You can also mobile order from some fantastic table service restaurants like
Steakhouse 71. I know it's not the same as relaxing and being waited on inside the restaurant, but you could walk over to Disney's Contemporary Resort from Magic Kingdom pretty easily to pick up an order from this delicious restaurant.
Hope this helps. I have my fingers crossed that you'll get an extra sprinkling of pixie dust and be able to find some delicious dining options for your party.
