Hey Kaycee,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you stopped by with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. You’ll be arriving very soon! The Port Orleans resorts are two of my favorite places to stay when I visit. We love feeling like we’ve entered the bayou as soon as we arrive, so our favorite section at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is the Alligator Bayou section. This is more than likely where you’ll be staying as that is where the 5th sleeper rooms are located. These rooms are great for families and feel really spacious. As for adding another adult to your reservation, my fellow panelist
Jessica outlines the process here. It’s pretty simple, but if the option to modify your reservation isn’t available you will need to
contact the resort and speak with a cast member. While you're on the phone with them, you can even request connecting rooms.
Kaycee I do want to point out that in most cases, 6 guests are not permitted to sleep in one room at Port Orleans - Riverside. The only way this arrangement would be permitted is if one of your children is an infant, and the infant must also be listed on the reservation. If you do wind up needing to contact the resort, be sure to have everyone properly listed on your reservation. If you do not have any infants in your party, you may need to book a second room at Port Orleans - Riverside or change resorts if you want everyone to be together in the same room. A few options that will work for a party your size are the family suites at
Disney’s Art of Animation or
All-Star Music resorts. They can sleep 6 comfortably with 3 queen beds.
I hope this information is helpful, Kaycee. You are already creating the most perfect visit and I know you and your family will have the best time. Swing by planDisney again if you have any additional planning questions. We love to help! See ya real soon!
