Hi Katie,
Welcome to planDisney!
HOORAY for booking a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! How exciting to have tickets with the
Park Hopper® Option. To use those park hopper tickets, you will need to first make a
Disney Park Pass system reservation at one theme park. Then, on the day you plan to park hop, you have to visit that first theme park where you made the park pass reservation. Starting at 2:00 p.m., you could possibly park hop if there is availability at another theme park. Be sure to have the
My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded so that you can receive push notifications about park hopping availability.
Keep your eye on the
operational updates since policies and procedures could change. Just prior to your visit, double-check the
Park Hopper® Option procedures as well. And, always keep an eye on
park hours. When we park hop, we try to hop to the parks that are closing at later times. I have noticed that Disney's Hollywood Studios seems to be reaching capacity for park pass reservations, so I would suggest that you make your park pass reservations there and try to park hop to EPCOT or Disney's Animal Kingdom. Also, current procedures dictate that if you do not have a park pass reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios, you cannot try to join the
virtual queue for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Note that having an
advanced dining reservation or reservation for another experience will not guarantee you admission to a park when trying to park hop. So, if making dining reservations at a restaurant in a theme park, make those reservations at parks where you have park pass reservations. One final tip - we always make plans with geography in mind so that we do not unnecessarily trek back and forth across the parks.
Katie, sending you a little Jedi insight as you make those park pass reservations!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
