Hi, Gabrielle!
First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m glad to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth while you await the arrival of your little one. There’s so much limited-time magic to enjoy this summer with Pixar Fest in full swing in both theme parks and Pixar Pier now open in Disney California Adventure Park!
I think you’ll be pleased by how many attractions you’ll be able to experience as a pregnant mom--I know I was when I was expecting! I visited the Disneyland Resort theme parks during various stages of pregnancy with both of my little ones and was able to enjoy many attractions safely and comfortably. However, there are a handful of thrill rides in each theme park that pregnant women are advised to avoid. Please visit the
Attractions page on
disneyland.com and select the Expectant Mothers Advisory box under the Accessibility & Advisories tab. This will generate a list of attractions you should not ride while pregnant in the interest of your baby’s safety.
When I was pregnant and exploring the theme parks, it helped to plan some downtime into our days. Be sure to take breaks to enjoy a cool drink and snack out of the sun. A grand circle tour on the
Disneyland Railroad offers about 20 minutes of shade and fresh air, with the added benefit of a relaxing, scenic trip around the park from the comfort of your seat. You can also ask for free cups of ice water at any quick-service restaurant to prevent dehydration.
I hope these tips help you, Gabrielle. Please don’t hesitate to stop by again with any other questions you can dream of as you continue planning your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
