Hello Ouida! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When my family books a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, I'm always sure to make special requests for certain rooms that I am interested in staying in.
While Cast Members cannot guarantee that they will be able to accommodate your request, I often find that it is worth the extra effort to request specific buildings or rooms.
Searching through the
Resort Hotel Maps on the Walt Disney World Resort site will break down the areas of your specific Resort and allow you to begin to focus where you would like to stay. When you begin the
Online Check-In process on your
My Disney Experience Account, be sure to select up to 2 Room Option Requests for the type of Cabin you would like at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
Based on your inquiry, I recommend that you choose the Near Transportation Option as the majority of
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are all located close to the Main Entrance and the option to be close to the "Main Areas" of the Resort is unavailable.
If memory serves me correctly, there are a handful of Cabins near Pioneer Hall(a Main Area near the boat launch). If they are still there and you can request one of these cabins, it will put you near a bus depot and a main area.
After that, I recommend that you call the Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort about 5 days before your vacation to request a specific building or room by calling (407) 824-2900 or by fax at (407) 824-3508.
Happy Planning!
