Walt Disney World Holiday decoration on Main Street

    Hello! We have booked our Disney trip for Dec 2023. We will be staying at a hotel with extended hour perks! When will the extended hours and days for the parks become available? We would like to book our park dates asap. Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney, Irene!

    How wonderfully exciting that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this December. Not only will you be able to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom Park, but you'll also be able to enjoy Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT. This interactive exploration of water is going to be beautiful, educational, and so much fun! I had the pleasure of interviewing a Disney Imagineer last year about this attraction and I trust it will be a great addition to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Extended Evening Theme Park Hours is a "practically perfect" way to enjoy the magic, Irene. This enchanting perk is currently available to all Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or other select resorts during their stay. Crowd levels are much lower and you'll be able to enjoy lots of attractions with minimal wait times. At this time, this benefit is only available on select nights (usually Mondays and Wednesdays) at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. Disney usually releases the details a few months at a time. Therefore, I would check the Hours and Events Calendar 2 or 3 months before your trip.

    Here's what I've done for my upcoming trip in May. Since the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours haven't been posted yet, I've made park reservations anyway. Looking back at the calendar, I think I can safely anticipate this benefit being available at EPCOT on Monday night and Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesday night. However, if that doesn't turn out to be the case, I can always modify my theme park reservations.
