Booked Disney transportation from Pop Century resort to Port Canaveral. What time should I request for port check in?

Ahoy again, Harry! It looks like we've spotted your colors off the port bow again!

By now, you likely have taken a look through your spyglass and at least started your Online Check-In process since you're just 28 days (and a few hours) from your departure - such an exciting time! Speaking of time, you may have already seen during your check-in process that there is a section that allows you to enter your flight information, as well as your pre- and post-cruise hotel or travel plans. After all of your travel documentation (including boarding photos) and arrival and departure information is entered, you should be presented with a list of available Port Arrival Times!

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter which of the available Port Arrival Times you select, since you and your crew will be arriving in style by letting Disney do the driving! Fans of Disney's Magical Express will be envious of your transportation to the port, as the porthole-adorned motorcoach picks you up from Disney's Pop Century Resort. Though the earlier you select, the more time you'll have to partake in one of my favorite embarkation day pastimes: LUNCH.

Now, in my experience, depending on how many of your fellow castaways are staying at Pop Century or other nearby resort hotels, your transfers could depart roughly two to three hours before your Port Arrival Time to allow for pickups at other resorts and the 90-ish minute drive to Port Canaveral. Since all aboard time is usually around 3:30 p.m. I'd say the latest you'd likely be departing Pop Century is 12:30 p.m., but again that is subject to change like the tides! You should get confirmation of your pickup time when you check into Pop Century, but if you are curious, you can always contact a crew member by phone.

I hope that helps you set that all-important alarm for when to meet your Ground Transportation, Harry! Thank you so much for your question as always! If you have any others, please drop me another line anytime here at planDisney.

    Fair winds and following seas!
