HI, we have booked the Disney All Star movie resort for August with our 4 year old. We have decided on attending Hollywood Studios first then Epcot, animal Kingdom, and then Magic Kingdom. We do not know where to begin planning for this. Please guide us!

    Hi Giselle,

A first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is so exciting, and I can understand your feeling of being overwhelmed. One thing that I always advise when it comes to first trips is to sit down with your family and pick a few "must-do' Attractions at each Theme Park and then let the rest of the magic just fall into place.

Since you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you'll be able to make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days before your arrival and FastPass+ selections 60 days before your Resort stay. I always use to get the exact dates that the 180 and 60 days fall on and then put them into a calendar so that I'm ready to go with my Reservations when the dates arrive. If your budget allows, I recommend purchasing Park Hopper Option Tickets. In my opinion, the Park Hopper Option is the way to go when visiting especially when you have little ones. During my family's many visits, we have loved having the flexibility that a Park Hopper Ticket provides. You can start your day at one Theme Park, head back to your Resort for a nap or pool time,(which you'll need in the August heat) and then end the day at any other Theme Park you wish to.

Here are some suggestions (taking into consideration the age of your little one) for Attractions and Entertainment at each Theme Park:

    Disney's Hollywood Studios:
    Toy Story Midway Mania!
Disney Junior - Live on Stage!

    Turtle Talk  with Crush
    Test Track
Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park:
    Kilimanjaro Safaris
    Festival of The Lion King

    Magic Kingdom Park:
    Pirates of The Caribbean
    Peter Pan's Flight
    Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Please stop back by and see me if you have any additional vacation planning questions!
