Hi there, Holly. Welcome to planDisney. I understand why you wanted to take advantage of the
Disney dining plan options, as I love forgetting about footing the bill while on holiday!
Unfortunately, I can't give you better news than what the expert Cast Members at Walt Disney World already confirmed. Third-party vacation package bookings are not eligible for the addition of the Disney dining plans. To add a Disney dining plan, you must have booked your Disney package through the
Walt Disney World Travel Company.
Not all is lost, Holly! You may have had your heart set on the Quick Service Dining Plan, but please know you can still access ALL the delights available at Walt Disney World on an ad hoc basis, including the refillable Resort Mug. If you want to forget about reality and think in Disney dollars only, you could always purchase a Disney Gift Card for dining payments (and more) throughout your stay. You can buy them from any retail outlet at Walt Disney World.
Using Disney Gift Cards also helps me to stick to a budget! I seem to enter an alternate dining universe when I hit the EPCOT's World Showcase. I need some help reining it in... but seriously, have you tried the Snickerdoodle Sandwich from
Karamell-Küche?! You could add the same amount of money as the Quick Service Dining Plan would have cost and see if you prefer the flexibility of the Disney Gift Card.
Holly, I'm sorry to deliver the news you may not have wished for, but I know that so many delectable dining adventures await at Walt Disney World. We love to help where we can at
planDisney, so please pop back if there is anything else we can do.
Louise
