Hiya Heather! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited to hear you'll be staying at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort this summer! With the addition of the Gran Destino Tower, this moderate resort has all the feelings of a deluxe stay. The main pool area is themed perfectly and there are some fantastic dining options to choose from.
Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Villa del Lago is a hidden gem and boasts some of the best views of any dining location.
Heather, let's jump right to your question. Since you booked part of your stay with Costco and the first night directly through Disney, you will have two separate reservations for your stay. Essentially, these will be treated as such and not necessarily linked together. If each of these rooms happens to be the same room type, there is a good chance that the Cast Members at Coronado Springs will be able to accommodate your request. You will need to call before your arrival in order to notify them and note this request on your reservations. That way, when it comes time for them to assign room numbers to each reservation, they will be aware and try to accommodate to the best of their ability. Please keep in mind that requests are by no means guaranteed.
If each of these room types is different, it will be much more difficult to stay in the same room for the entirety of your stay. Each room type is priced differently and only allows a specific number of reservations per night. Again, your best bet will be to
call the Walt Disney World Resort to speak to a Cast Member about your options. You may be able to modify the room type of the extra night you added to be the same as your original reservation.
Heather, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming stay!
