Hello, I booked a Disney Quick Service Dining Plan for my trip to Disney World. After linking my reservation to my MyDisneyExperience account, the dining icon (cutlery) appear “greyed out.” Is that normal? Will my dining plan show up later?

    Hello Louis,

Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! I’m happy to hear you’ve booked your visit to Walt Disney World and you’re getting familiar with My Disney Experience before your arrival.

I believe you’re referring to the dining icon, which you can find under “My Plans” if you log into your My Disney account through the Walt Disney World website. This icon is grey if you currently do not have any dining reservations.  Your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan would not appear under this section. Your dining plan information, like total credits used and remaining, will not appear in your My Disney Experience app until you’ve checked in to your Resort. To find this information, visit the “My Resort Stay” section and find “Check Dining Plan.” Your dining receipts will also show your meal plan credits; however, make sure you’re looking at the most recent receipt! I often put all of my receipts into one pocket of my bag, so checking the credits remaining might be confusing if I grab an old receipt without paying attention. Your Resort Concierge or any Guest Relations location can also look up your remaining credits for you.

When looking through the “My Plans” section under my account, I noticed that under the dining icon, the site tells me when I can start booking dining reservations for my next stay. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of your visit, so check your account to see when you can start booking yours. If you visit the Dining page of the Walt Disney World website, you can filter by your dining plan type, so you can see where you can use your Disney Quick Service Dining Plan

I hope this helps, Louis. Check out the video attached to this answer. Some of my fellow panelists have made suggestions on how to use your dining plan snack credits! If you have any more questions, please send them our way at planDisney!
