Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth! How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner. August will be here before you know it, and it sounds like you're already off to a fantastic start with those dining reservations.
You're totally fine here, and this is actually a super common situation. When someone in the group books
dining reservations, they usually just list the total number of guests dining, rather than specifying exactly who will be joining for each meal. So, in your case, even if your partner doesn't see the "food" icon filled out in
My Disney Experience, it doesn't mean they aren't included; it just means their name hasn't been specifically added to the reservation party yet.
If you'd like to link your partner directly to those dining reservations so they can see them in their own
My Disney Experience app, you can do that easily! Just log into My Disney Experience, go to the "Future Plans" section, find the dining reservation you want to update, and tap "Update Party." From there, you can select your partner, and it will officially link them to that meal.
It won't change anything about your reservation; you're still good to go either way, but it's a nice little touch to make sure everyone can view their dining plans and feel included in the magic.
I hope this answers your question, Elizabeth, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
