Hello there, Natalie!
So glad you decided to set out from the reef into deeper waters with a Disney cruise. As Mr. Ray says in
Finding Nemo, “Welcome aboard, explorers! Let’s get this show started!” We love answering questions all about Disney Cruise Line and sailing out in the “Big Blue.”
As far as places tailor made for one or two-year-olds, my mind instantly thinks of water and the fabulous
water playgrounds and pools. I can imagine that Crush saying his favorite word "Righteous!" if he could see the water playgrounds on Disney cruises. Each ship has different names for them, and for the Disney Magic, it’s called Nephews' Splash Zone. These areas are always so alive with peals of laughter and delight! Just as an FYI: this area is dedicated to Guests ages 3 and under, swim diapers are necessary, and adult supervision is required at all times.
As far as pools,
toddlers who are toilet trained can make a SPLASH in the Disney pools. Your Nemo or Dory can use a floater jacket, water wings, or bathing suits with flotation devices. Additionally, complimentary life vests are provided onboard.
Apart from the pools and toddler splash zones, there are tons of other fun activities for all ages, including games and character appearances. You can check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see what’s available each day and the schedule of activities and entertainment. Hopefully very soon the
“it’s a small world" nursery! will be open to Guests of the small set, but there’s no estimated time frame for when this will return.
“Just keep swimming” back to planDisney if you need our SCHOOL of panelists to work with you on planning your Disney cruise. Wishing you the most MAGICal voyage with your little one!
