Sarah from Bristol Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I booked my Disney hotel (Contemporary) and park tickets last year as part of a package with BA holidays. We are due to visit Disney this year in July 2022 and I now want to add Genie+ to my park tickets. How do i do this please?

Hey Howdy Hey Sarah and welcome to planDisney!

In just a few short weeks, it looks like you will be heading over to visit us in the Most Magical Place on Earth for a holiday full of memories that will last a lifetime! And even better, you will be staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort which is just a short walk from Magic Kingdom. I am getting super excited for you to experience this holiday! Before I digress further, let's talk about getting your Genie+ added to your tickets.

You can add Genie+ to your theme park tickets before your trip and you can do this through your My Disney Experience account. Make sure you have everything linked to your account first. With your reservation, you should have a Walt Disney World confirmation number. When you log onto your My Disney Experience account, you would hover over the "Resort Hotel" icon and a drop-down menu should appear. Click on "Link Reservation" and follow the prompts.

Now that everything should be linked, let's look at the tickets. In your My Disney Experience account, scroll down to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. Look for the heading "Tickets & Memory Maker" and click on that heading. There, you should see all of the tickets and the party members they are assigned to. Under each member, you should see a blue link "Change Ticket". Click on that link and then you should be taken to a site to modify your tickets. You can choose the members of your party you would like to modify and then you should see an option to add Genie+ to your tickets. The best part about this option is you can add Genie+ to as many or as few days as you would like, totally up to you!

I've got a few tips for your when using your Genie+. First off, make sure you review which attractions will be available for you to summon your Genie for shorter wait times when booking your Lightning Lanes. You can start booking your Lightning Lanes on the morning of your park day with Genie+ at 7:00 a.m. EST since you will be staying at a Disney Resort Collection accommodation. You can book another Lightning Lane two hours after your first or after you redeem the first. So make sure to keep an eye on the clock! Lastly, with the purchase of Genie+, you get access to some really fun lenses to take pictures with. So you will have another way to make your trip extra special and pass some time playing around with them. They are available in your My Disney Experience app as well.

One final general tip, make sure you have your Theme Park Reservations booked! Since you booked a package through a third-party company, this step may have been missed. Make sure you see your reservations in your My Disney Experience account as this is something that is required for your park visit as well.

I hope you are having a fun time planning your trip as the excitement continues to build for your Magical holiday. Best wishes on your continued planning and if you have any further questions please feel free to let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
