Hi, Lynn! Thanks for visiting us with this great question!
The Walt Disney World Resort's
Rider Switch Service is meant to assist families when a child does not meet the height requirement for an attraction or when a guest simply does not wish to board an attraction. A health concern like that of your husband would certainly fall into this latter category. If there is an attraction that your husband is unable to experience, you should speak with a Cast Member at the entrance of that attraction. They will be able to advise you on the best course of action. The seating configurations on some attractions may allow you to ride with both of your children at the same time. If that is not the case, then a Rider Switch entitlement may need to be issued.
At the Walt Disney World Resort, there really is something for everyone. Although your husband may not be able to ride every attraction in the
theme parks, there will be plenty for your entire family to experience together. If you take a look at the
Attractions section of the Walt Disney World website, there are several drop-down menus that you can use to filter the list of attractions. You can filter by "Thrill Level" to find some of the milder attractions that are appropriate for all guests. Under "Accessibility & Advisories," you can filter the list to show attractions that have a health advisory. Also, be sure to remember that the Walt Disney World Resort offers so much more than just attractions. There are countless
entertainment options, delicious
restaurants, and beautifully themed
resort hotels that your whole family can enjoy.
Lynn, if we can help you with anything else as you plan your magical vacation, please visit us again. See ya real soon!
