Hi Teri!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so very excited to “sea” that you are headed to the Caribbean with Captain Mickey! If this is your first Disney Cruise Line adventure, you have not only picked a great itinerary, but a great time to cruise! My family loves sailing in April, but now that my boys are a bit older, we have some school schedules to take into consideration.
Your seven-night itinerary will be filled with delicious nightly dinners in the main dining rooms and includes an exciting Pirate-themed night. I checked with Disney Cruise Line and while always subject to change, currently your nightly itinerary is as follows: formal night is on Day 2, Pirate Night on Day 5 and semi-formal night on Day 6. All other nights, including embarkation night is cruise casual. Dressing up for
Pirate Night is optional, but Guests are encouraged to dress up as swashbuckling pirates for the themed dinner (where they serve the BEST Johnny Cake) and Pirate Night deck party complete with a spectacular firework display. If you have any young buccaneers traveling with you, you may want to consider a Pirates League makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where they can be transformed into pirates ready to take on any enemies that try to board the “Mickey Boat”! My boys always look forward to their makeovers and I love seeing the excitement in their eyes when they see their new look. You can choose to just have makeup done or you can go all-out and get the costume too!
As you continue preparing for your adventure with Captain Mickey, please visit us with other questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
