Hi Ian! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Thank you for asking such a good question. I always enjoy using the
Disney Dining Plan, for the convenience, flexibility and for the great savings across the Resort. The Disney Dining Plan offers, per guest, per night of stay, one Table-Service meal, one Quick-Service meal, two Snacks and a Refillable Resort Mug which can be refilled with fountain sodas, coffee, tea and hot chocolate at the beverage stations at any Disney Resort hotel. The Dining Plans are available to use from time of check-in at your Resort hotel (if you check-in online, your Dining Plan can be used from 7.00am on your arrival day), until midnight on your day of departure. Guests of ages 3-9 are required to choose from the children's menu where available, but the only way of upgrading your son to an adult dining plan would be to upgrade his park tickets to adult tickets too. You can, however, order additional items from any menu to enhance anyone's meal, and pay by cash/credit card or add a room charge for these. Just discuss with your server that you would like to do this, and I am sure there will be no problem at all. Remember to make any dining reservations up to 180 days in advance, either
online, or by using the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World. ~ Sue
