Welcome aboard, George!
Congratulations on booking your upcoming Disney Cruise vacation. You & your family will surely have a wonderful time onboard the Disney Cruise! You'll be glad to know that the Youth Counselors are comprised of wonderful individuals from various countries around the globe. You likely will find one of the counselors who might be able to relate and speak fluently in your language. If not, it has never stopped children from enjoying themselves in the Oceaneer Club & Lab. My kids have even made friends with other children who do not speak english. But somehow, the universal language of play takes over... and they're off enjoying their adventure with new friends.
Once you embark, the
Youth Clubs will all have an Open House. I encourage you to go check it out with your kids, so you can also have a chance to speak with one or more of the Youth Counselors. You can let them know that your kids do not speak English, and you can likely gauge, whether or not you need to stick around the club with them to help translate. It might be helpful to take a tour together so that the counselors can describe the different theme areas to you, and you can in turn explain it to your kids. If it makes you feel better, you are more than welcome to stay in the Youth Clubs with your child initially - but be warned, at this age, they might not want you there too long :-). Nonetheless, you'll surely see their faces light up once they step into the Oceaneer Club & Lab. Take lots of pictures in there - the life size movie characters in the themed spaces are spectacular and really do come alive.
Your little buccaneers will have the time of their life! Have an awesome voyage with Captain Mickey and do let us know if you have any additional questions to help you plan your cruise.
Bon voyage!
