Ahoy, Richard! Any sentence that begins with "I booked a Disney cruise" is sure to be the start of something magical! I'm so glad you sailed by planDisney so we can share in the excitement.
Now that you are
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo-ked, let's get you the information you need to navigate planning for your
Disney Cruise Line adventure. First, let's head over to the website and the "Already Booked" tab. Here, you can find your
reservation with all the information on your upcoming cruise. Under "Cruise Details," you can see your stateroom and where it is on the ship, your dining time and other information like trip protection and transportation to the port if you've purchased these through Disney Cruise Line.
Disney Cruise Line offers
rotational dining with an early seating time (usually around 5:45 p.m.) and a second seating (around 8:15). This allows you to experience each main dining restaurant. Your dining team moves with you, so they get to know you and your preferences. It's something I really enjoy about Disney cruises.
The other tab is "My Plans," which becomes a lot more interesting once you are within
your window to book activities, like adult-exclusive dining and Port Adventures. You can explore
Port Adventures for your destinations online to see what is generally available. Once your window opens, you can see what exactly will be offered and the costs for the adventures. Mark your calendar to select your cruise activities as soon as possible!
My only regret in my years of cruising with Disney is not enjoying
Palo until Cruise #3. I had heard but did not fully appreciate what I was missing. I am so glad you already have this in mind. You can see the full list of the
adult-exclusive restaurants, which vary slightly by ship. Each offers dinner, and you may also find other tempting options, like brunches on "At Sea" days and dessert events.
If you have not yet, be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It has a lot of the same functionality as the website for planning before your cruise. Once you are at the port and connected to DCL Wi-Fi (Disney Cruise Line's Wi-Fi system), it
automagically transforms into its onboard mode. You can see daily activities, restaurant menus, character greetings, onboard entertainment–everything!
Richard, if you have any other questions as you plan your adventure beyond the reef, please cruise back by
planDisney. We're all aboard to help!
Life is the Bubbles!
