I am booked on a Disney Cruise out of Galveston December 7, 2021. I want to finalize any information needed and book shore excursions, but I need to know how to do so. Can you help?

    Ahoy John!

I’d say that’s FINtastic news that you are taking a Disney cruise! Your adventure on the high seas is almost here. Like you, Port Adventures are one of the things I look forward to the most before sailing with Captain Mickey, so I'm happy to hear you are focused on lining those up.

You can log in and reserve premium activities like Port Adventures online once you have paid for your cruise in full and your Advance Booking Window opens. The  number of days in advance is determined by your Castaway Club level: 75 days for first time cruisers; 90 days for Silver level Guests who have sailed 1-5 cruises; 105 days for Gold level in Castaway Club (completed 5th cruise); and 120 days for Platinum Guests (completed 10 cruises). You have up until three days prior to your sailing to cancel any excursions.

Since you are sailing on December 7th, all Castaway Club levels and even first time Disney cruisers now have the ability to book their premium reservations. On the Disney Cruise Line website, you would log into My Reservations and select the individual day and choose “Add Activities.” There will be several categories, including Port Adventures. Scroll through the list or customize it by experience type (like nature, sightseeing, cultural), activity level, accessibility, and price range. Be sure to read the "Know Before You Go" descriptions on each excursion as they have valuable information such as any restrictions, suggested attire, and what to bring.

The Advance Booking Window is different from the Online Check-In process, which as of right now opens 15 days prior to your sail date. That is when you will reserve that all-important Port Arrival Time. So 15 days out, go ahead and upload your travel documents so you can complete Online Check-in and get that Port Arrival Time assigned. This is especially important now because Guests are currently NOT allowed at the terminal or in parking areas before their scheduled Port Arrival Time and will be turned away if arriving early.

If you have more questions about specific Port Adventures or need more planning tips, reach back out. We would be more than happy to assist you. Wishing you a wonderful cruise vacation filled with all the activities and excursions that your heart desires.

    Happy Sailing!
