Hello! I have booked a Disney Cruise for my daughters 13th birthday. We are going to be staying at a Disney Resort the night before our cruise leaves.Where would be a great place to take her to dine while we are at the park? Not planning to buy park tickets.

    Hi Stephanie!

What a wonderful birthday celebration!  Your daughter is going to love her Disney cruise, and I promise that you will too!  There are so many wonderful restaurants in Walt Disney World that are not inside the parks that it's really difficult to choose.

I'd like to recommend dining at California Grill at the top of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The food is outrageously delicious, but what makes this restaurant shine is the fact that you can watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular (FIREWORKS) overlooking Magic Kingdom Park and Cinderella Castle.  The restaurant has two open air walkways where you can stand and watch the fireworks.  If you don't want to do that, the lights go down INSIDE of the restaurant and the music is piped in.  California Grill offers incredible views of the park, as one entire side of the restaurant are floor to ceiling windows.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  I'm happy to help.  Happy birthday to your princess, and bon voyage Stephanie!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
