Ahoy there, Jason! Welcome to planDisney!
I’m really excited that you booked a Disney cruise! Cue all the magical cruise planning! I know that one of those planning details is packing, including packing DisneyBand+.
DisneyBand+ is one of my favorite recent additions to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, so I love talking about it and encouraging other guests to pack one for their cruise! Therefore, I’d be happy to guide you on where to purchase one.
Even though you used Costco as a travel agent, DisneyBand+ cannot be purchased through Costco or any travel agency. Before your cruise, DisneyBand+ can only be purchased either through
Disney Cruise Line or through the Disney Store website as a MagicBand+.
To purchase through Disney Cruise Line before your cruise, first, make sure that your reservation is linked to a
MyDisney account. Log in to your reservation on the Disney Cruise Line website. Then, in the “Already Booked” tab, tap “DisneyBand+ & More”. From there, follow the prompts to purchase DisneyBand+. Please keep in mind that it takes about
10 days to arrive at your door, and it must be purchased no later than 11 days before your sail date. Once it arrives (yayyy!), you're all set! Pack it away to bring it on board!
You can also use
MagicBand+ as a DisneyBand+ on board your Disney cruise, which you can purchase from the Disney Store website before your cruise.
To be able to use your DisneyBand+ on board your cruise, I suggest having it ready when you
embark on your cruise. When you’re being checked in, a Cast Member will scan it, and now you will be able to
use it on board to open your stateroom door, make purchases, scan for photos, check kids out of Disney’s Oceaneer Club, as well as use all of its fun interactive features during some of the deck parties and shows.
Just in case, I’ll also share the procedure to purchase a DisneyBand+
on board your Disney cruise. They are available in the merchandise shops on board, which you can purchase after you set sail. To link your new DisneyBand+ to your reservation on board, you should go to the
Guest Services Desk, where they will be happy to do this for you.
Jason, I hope I was able to help you locate a DisneyBand+ before your cruise. You’re going to love the hands-free availability and the fun it offers! I wish you the most magical memories on board your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Bon Voyage,
Rana
