We are booked for a Disney Bahama Cruise on the Disney Dream in June 2011, They are offerring for us to purchase a "Picture Package" where we can "prepay" for 10, 20 or 30 pictures . Is there a benefit to doing this, and if so what is i

    Hi, David!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream! She is a spectacular and oh-so stylish ship, and you're going to think you're living a dream when you sail.

Although I have never pre-purchased photo packages, I imagine that the advantage would be to have this portion of your cruise already handled -- should that be a "given" expenditure when you sail.  I know that we normally pick out at least 5-10 pictures taken by the professional photographers on board while enjoying a 3- or 4-night cruise. Of course, the longer you sail, the more photos you'll acquire.

I don't know this to be certain in your circumstance, but it may be that Disney Cruise Line may be offering you a discount for purchasing in advance, too. You'll just need to read the terms on the piece which was sent to you. I hope that is the case -- which would be a great advantage over purchasing them on board.

I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
