That's an awesome idea, Melissa!
Combining a Land and Sea Disney vacation is always a double treat that no one will ever say no to. The Alaskan voyage is pretty spectacular and you are definitely in for such an amazing vacation. This itinerary is just so different from all other cruises around the world. The beauty and splendor of Alaska is incomparable - breathtaking and jaw dropping - all rolled into one! I am so excited for you!
At the moment the Disney Land and Sea Packages advertised are for the Florida area. It never hurts contacting Disney Cruise Line to inquire about their upcoming offers for the west coast though - they've always got something up their sleeves. Planning a
pre or post cruise vacation at a Disney resort only extends the magic -- more fun for everyone! I would suggest going to
Disneyland first and then having the cruise be the 2nd half of your vacation. This way, you can fully relax on your cruise. The first part at the Parks is always tiring -- extremely fun, but tiring, since you are doing a lot of walking :-). If you contact the Disney Cruise Line travel desk, they'll even be able to help you with airline and accommodations. They can also answer questions if you'd like any other add-ons to your current cruise reservation. You'll find a lot of flights from the Los Angeles area going to Vancouver -- and it's not a very long flight at all. At least, you can have a few choices for schedules and airlines.
This sounds like it's going to be an amazing trip, Melissa!
Happy planning!
