Hello, Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney. I always love seeing a fellow North Carolinian stop by and ask a question.
Elizabeth, I think you are going to be really happy with your dinner reservation time. You've basically got the entire day to explore
Epcot before you sit down to enjoy a wonderful meal to finish off your Disney day. Disney would not let you make a dinner reservation for a certain time if they did not want you there. I can assure you that you will not be rushed during your meal. You won't have to gobble down your food and you certainly won't be kicked out of Epcot. After you are done eating, everything in the park will be closed up. Food booths and attractions will not be open and there really isn't anything else for you to do so you'll just make your way toward the front of the park to exit. This is actually one of my very favorite times to be in a Walt Disney World Theme Park because you can get some great pictures with no one in the background so be sure to save a little bit of phone battery for that. The parking lot at Epcot technically never closes. You are able to get back to your car at any point in the evening. I've parked at
Disney's Hollywood Studios before where it closed several hours before Epcot, hopped over to Epcot for dinner and then made the long trek back to my car much later in the evening. While my car was one of the only ones in the parking lot, I had no trouble getting to it and then exiting for the night.
Chef de France is such a great restaurant, you are in for an incredible meal, Elizabeth. If I can make one recommendation, it would be to start with the french onion soup. It is delicious there! Also, if you like champagne, they have a great list that you can get by the glass. I think it makes the meal feel more authentic. When in France, right?
I hope this eases your mind a little bit about dinner. I think it is a great way to end your evening. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. I hope you really enjoy your dinner.
