Hiya, Lauren. Welcome to planDisney!
Staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and specifically a Deluxe Resort, comes with so many fantastic benefits, and I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be enjoying all the magic and convenience it offers during your stay. One of my personal favorites is the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours benefit. My family loves taking a mid-day break to relax by the pool or even squeeze in a quick siesta, which makes those late-night park hours all the more enjoyable!
To answer your question, Extended Evening hours are park-specific and not available every evening. If a Special Event like
Disney After Hours is scheduled, Extended Evening hours won’t be offered at that park on the same night. While the full calendar for your vacation dates isn’t available yet, I took a closer look at the Disney After Hours events scheduled during your stay. Based on what’s currently listed, Magic Kingdom has a Disney After Hours event on Monday, May 6th, and EPCOT on Thursday, May 9th. This means Extended Evening Hours won’t be available at those parks on those nights. However, it looks like Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t hosting Disney After Hours during your trip, so you may find Extended Evening Hours available there.
Additionally, while the schedule is always subject to change, I’ve noticed a recent pattern where EPCOT hosts Extended Evening Hours on Mondays, and Magic Kingdom takes over on Wednesdays. This isn’t a guarantee, but it can be a helpful guide as you plan. Keep an eye on the
Hours & Events Calendar for the most accurate and up-to-date information as your vacation approaches, especially 60 to 30 days out.
I hope this helps as you plan your Disney getaway, Lauren! Since you’ll have incredible resort benefits, let me share a few recommendations for your non-park days. One of my favorite ways to spend a relaxed evening is by resort hopping on the Disney Monorail. Start at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa with drinks and appetizers at Enchanted Rose, then ride to
Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a bite at Steakhouse 71 or the California Grill Lounge. Then, I like to wrap up my night at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort with a refreshing DOLE Whip before settling on the beaches of Seven Seas Lagoon to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks show,
Happily Ever After.
Have a wonderful trip, and
please let me know if there’s anything else I can help with as you prepare for your vacation!
Cheers,
Brent
