We booked the deluxe plus dining package and wondering if anyone had any suggestions on restaurants for adults and 7 & 8 year old children? Also is it necessary to book reservations before coming with travel nov 30 thru dec 7? Best bang for dollars pa

Some of the must-do restaurants for our family are: Whispering Canyon Cafe, 'Ohana, Mama Melrose, Teppan  Edo (a new favorite!), and Beaches & Cream.  We also enjoy the 50s Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios and Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom.  We visited the Hoop De Doo for the first time during our last trip and it was unanimously declared a highlight of the entire two week stay!

I would never recommend not making dining reservations no matter what time of the year you visit.  Here's why: if there is a restaurant you really want to try, there is no sense in risking missing out on it because you don't have a reservation.  If you don't like the idea of being "overbooked" on your vacation, perhaps just choose two or three meals that you really want to commit to and make reservations for those.  You could always try to be seated on a walk-up basis at any secondary choices, keeping in mind of course, that you may not be able to do so.

    Good luck!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
