    Have booked Deluxe Dining Plan for 2 adults, 1 child. Have ADR for several Signature restaurants (2 credits) and few breakfasts. Can our child eat from our plates at dinner, and save a credit for a QS breakfast instead?

    If you are traveling with a child under 3 years of age, they are welcome to eat from your plate at no charge. For older children, however, you must purchase their meal. How this is done varies a bit depending on the type of restaurant you choose to dine in.

    At a buffet or family-style restaurant, the child must always be using his or her own DDP credits. The only time sharing an adult plate here is permissible is for a child under 3.

    At non-buffet restaurants, you may be permitted to share a meal. Most restaurants do state that there is no sharing permitted, so whether or not you are able to do so depends largely on how flexible that establishment might be that day. You will need to ask your server when he or she first visits your table, and go from there.

    I have found that most places are happy to allow my young daughters to split an adult meal between them. I have never asked if I could not purchase them a meal at all, but know that others have done so with varying degrees of success.

    In short, it's a possibility, but I wouldn't necessarily count on it!
