Hi Diana!
Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!
I feel that each Walt Disney World Resort hotel has it's own charm and special theming, and that is why everyone has their favourite, and every hotel is different to another. Disney's Deluxe Resorts are fabulous and the Contemporary Resort is a wonderful place to stay with unrivalled access to the Magic Kingdom theme park, and the monorail running right through it. However, I think
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter is delightful and has many features that you will enjoy.
I visited this Resort in December, and was very impressed with the picturesque setting. You can enjoy strolls alongside the Sassagoula River, family bike rides, swimming at
Doubloon Lagoon—with its festive Mardi Gras–inspired decorations, alligator band and sea serpent waterslide, and even fishing! The Disney Transportation from here is mostly by bus, but you can also opt to take a boat to Downtown Disney.
You have a choice of dining options at
Sassagoula Floatworks - Food Factory Food Court, or over at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside you can enjoy
Boatwright's Dining Hall.
This resort has a character all of its own and I don't think you will be disappointed!
If you have any more questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
