Hi I booked st DCA for Jan 30th but the rest of my family booked for Disneyland for the same date. On the enchant key calendar it shows that Disneyland is not available so I can Modify. Will I still be able to park hop to Disneyland after 11am?

Greetings, Patricia. From one Magic Key Holder to another, welcome to planDisney! I've had a lot of experience with theme park reservations over the years, so you've got a friend in me to help you out with this.

Patricia, the good news is you have a theme park reservation for January 30. The Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend goes from January 29 through February 1, 2026, so the Resort will see some extra hustle and bustle this weekend. However, with your California Adventure Park reservation secured, you have options.

To answer your question, yes, with a California Adventure reservation, you can cross into Disneyland after 11 a.m. as long as it hasn’t reached capacity (which has been rare in my experience). The same is true the other way around, too. I love that we have this flexibility with a Magic Key pass. So, all that to say, you can plan to meet up with your family by lunchtime!

I do think it's worth checking reservation availability periodically, though. Magic Key holders have until 11:59 p.m. the night before to modify or cancel a reservation. There's always a possibility that more reservations could be released, so keep checking the calendar. There's a chance you will be able to modify your reservation to Disneyland, in which case you wouldn't miss any family time.

Patricia, just make sure that you don't cancel your reservation. Instead, you'll want to modify it. In modifying it, you'll either successfully swap your park to Disneyland, or you'll close out of it, and the original reservation will remain. Here's what to do:

    • In the Disneyland mobile app, tap the plus sign icon at the bottom of the screen and then tap the "Make or Modify Park Reservations" button.
    • Locate your current reservation and tap "Modify Reservation" under your name.
    • Check the box to select your pass and tap "Next" to go to the calendar.
    • If you see a pink castle on January 30, then you're in luck! Tap the date, and then tap the "Select" button next to the park you want to switch to.
    • Make sure to tap "Confirm" on the next screen to ensure it updates appropriately.
If, when you check, Disneyland reservations are still unavailable, you can tap "Refresh Calendar" to see if anything changes. If you just keep checking, even the night before, you might get lucky! And if all else fails, at least you'll be able to park hop at 11 a.m. with your current reservation.

Patricia, if you do find yourself in California Adventure, take some time to explore the Lunar New Year decorations, new menu items, and more. When I visit the parks solo, I love to take advantage of the Single Rider queues at various attractions (especially Radiator Springs Racers) and to do a drawing session at Animation Academy. You'll find a way to make the most of it, however the day plays out.

I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans, Patricia. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
