    Mary from CA Asked

I had booked a 1-Day Tier 3 Ticket with Admission to 1 Park (California Adventure Park) for my daughter, but she is unable to go. Can I switch this to my son and upgrade to a park jumper ticket?

    Hey Mary!

    Welcome to planDisney!

You’re going to love your visit with your little one to the Happiest Place on Earth! Changing the name on the ticket isn’t necessarily needed because tickets at the Disneyland Resort are not actually assigned until you get to the turnstiles and a Cast Member scans you in. They will assign the ticket and take your picture at that time. As long as your son is in the same age category that the ticket was purchased for, you are good to go!

Upgrading your ticket to a Park Hopper Ticket is a really good idea! The parks are so close to each other that it makes hopping from one park to the other very easy. Because you want to upgrade your ticket, you’ll need to head to one of the ticket booths in the esplanade before you enter the parks. They can also change the name on the ticket at that time as well. Sometimes you are able to take care of this over the phone by calling Ticket Services, but they may send you to a ticket booth as well.

Well Mary, I hope you enjoy your trip with your son, they grow up fast!

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
