Welcome to planDisney, Leah!
I am happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next month with your Mouseketeers! Get ready to make memories you will cherish forever – it is truly special to
experience The Most Magical Place on Earth through the eyes of little ones.
I would also be torn to choose between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but one of the things that I really appreciate about the Walt Disney World Resort is that most attractions allow families to experience them together. Only a few attractions have height requirements, but I understand we need to keep that in mind while traveling with toddlers.
I am also planning a summer visit and since my youngest daughter is almost 2-years-old and my oldest daughter is 10-years-old, I will probably focus on parks that offer more options for my oldest daughter. My baby loves running around and is happy to accompany us wherever we go. Although I love both parks, considering my oldest daughter’s age, interests and height, I would probably choose Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She is a big Star Wars and Toy Story fan, and the attractions located at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land are just perfect for her! We also plan to use
Rider Switch service, this way my husband and I can take turns watching our baby girl while the rest of the family enjoys attractions she is still too small for.
EPCOT offers the most number of
attractions you can ride together, like Frozen Ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, Journey Into Imagination With Figment, Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Your oldest son meets the height requirement for Test Track, Soarin’ Around the World, and Mission: SPACE, so you could use Rider Switch for these attractions. What I also love about EPCOT are all the
dining experiences, and being able to use the International Gateway exit between the France and United Kingdom pavilions to hop on the
Disney Skyliner for a quick aerial gondola trip during the day or go for a walk and ice cream at
Disney’s BoardWalk.
I know this is a tough decision, but I hope this information helps you select the best park for your family. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions and don’t forget to take a look at our
Panel Extras for more magical tips!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
