Welcome to planDisney, Emily! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. It's so exciting that you're adding an extra park day to your Walt Disney World adventure. There's just so much to see and do, and I totally get wanting to soak in as much magic as possible.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind about your
theme park tickets, especially those that are date-based and part of a vacation package. First, all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, which means once a ticket is assigned to and used at least once by a specific person, it can't be used by anyone else. So if your parents end up skipping that third day, unfortunately, those unused ticket days can't be applied to a future trip or transferred to another guest.
Also, each ticket comes with a specific use window based on its start date.
For a 3-day ticket, that window is 5 days from the selected start date, so all park days must be used within that timeframe. After that, any unused days will expire and won't carry over to a future visit.
My best advice? Keep an eye on how your parents are feeling as your trip unfolds. If they decide to take a break on one of your park days, maybe have them relax at your
Disney Resort hotel (pool day, anyone?), or suggest a lighter day at
EPCOT, where they can stroll, snack, and soak in the atmosphere at their own pace.
I hope this answers your question, Emily, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
