Hello again, Heather - welcome back to
planDisney!
Disney's
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a great option to accommodate Guests who may have difficulty utilizing the standard queues at attractions and experiences. Based on your question, I'm assuming that you completed your video chat pre-registration, and as part of that experience, you were able to book several DAS Advance selections for your upcoming trip.
These DAS Advance selections are a way to jump-start the planning process and provide you with a one-hour window to enjoy each attraction or experience selected. Heather, you mentioned that you had to split your group into two groups. If that means that you have two Guests in your party who are DAS-registered, that opens up some additional flexibility, but I'm guessing you created two DAS Advance reservations for the same attraction at two different times on the same day, with the DAS-registered Guest included on both.
There are a couple of different ways to approach your situation. The simplest would be to
also select a return time for the attraction that aligns with the earlier DAS Advance selection. You would do this in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App once you are in the Theme Park, and you would want to include the Guests who were on the later DAS Advance selection in the party for this return time.
Unlike DAS Advance selections, return times do not have an expiration. You can enjoy the attraction or experience any time after the return time, but you won't be able to select a new return time until you use the one you have. You may want to
chat with a DAS Cast Member to confirm that this option would work for your group. If so, I recommend asking them to modify your later DAS Advance selection that day to a different attraction or experience as you wouldn't be needing it any longer if you also use a return time for the attraction.
Another option is to speak to a Cast Member at any Guest Relations location inside a Theme Park, or at a specific attraction. Cast Members love to make magic, and if you explain your situation, they might have ideas to make everything work out a bit better that we couldn't even dream of! No promises, but it never hurts to ask a Cast Member about what might be best for your crew.
Heather, I hope this information is helpful.
