We are booked for a cruise on September 9, 2010 returning on September 12, 2010. We are booked, independently, not through Disney, on a flight out of Orlando at 11 a.m. Will we have enough time to get to the airport for our flight? Thanks.

    Hi Kim,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I absolutely love cruising in September, the rates simply can't be beat!

The ship is typically cleared by U.S. Customs at approximately 7:30 a.m., and guests are able to disembark the ship at any time after the all-clear announcement.

For my first few cruises, I followed the guidelines and found that they do build in a generous time-buffer with the recommended flight departure times.  I would find myself at the airport simply wishing I had booked the earlier flight.  So I now book flights a bit earlier (but no earlier than 11:00 a.m.) and find this to be a very reasonable time table (even with all the bathroom breaks and snack stops for our family of five).

So based on my experience, I think you will have plenty of time to make that 11 a.m. flight, I simply suggest disembarking the ship at your earliest opportunity.

Hope this helps, have a wonderful voyage!
