Hello, Emilie! Welcome back to planDisney! As someone with a loved one with a food allergy, I understand the importance of communication with the dining team.
You can
call Disney Cruise Line directly and ask that the allergy be noted on your reservation. There is usually an Onboard Dining Session during embarkation hours where you can speak to the Head Server prior to ordering. I suggest doing both to ensure your allergy is known in advance. I always speak with my dining team once we are sat down for dinner on embarkation day as well. They may ask you to order in advance for the next evening.
In
Cabanas, you will need to speak with the Head Chef or another appropriate person before selecting your food. He or she will walk through the buffet with you and identify what you can eat. If you get something cooked to order, it may take a little time, but it will be worth it.
Emilie, if there is ever a question about your food or even your beverage, definitely ask. Disney Cruise Line tries their best to accommodate Guests' needs. My family has always had a good experience with having adjustments made. If you have any other questions, my
planDisney pals would love to answer them. Come back to visit any time.
Adventure is out there!
