Hi George!
We love having
Disney Vacation Club members over here on the Disney Cruise Line side! Did that "line where the sky meets the sea" call you, too? I sure hope that you are able to set sail in October on your long-awaited Disney cruise. I’m probably going to burst into tears of happiness the moment I set foot back on a Disney ship and hear “Welcome Aboard!"
My recommendation is for you to contact
Disney Vacation Club Member Services to determine your options as the policies for expiring Reservation and Vacation Points have changed. Everyone’s points situation is different, and they have the ability to check your account and tell you all your options. These might include choosing between a rebooking a new cruise with an additional credit, a full refund, or the option to “park” the cruise for a later date. Disney knows that given these unpredictable times, it’s good to offer more flexibility. So this is a modification of the temporary policies regarding expiring Points. That’s why I’m saying it’s best to talk to Disney Vacation Club Member Services; they are the ones who can say, “We Know the Way” when it comes to those Disney Vacation Club points!
"Hei Hei!" I can’t forget to remind you about checking for
Disney Vacation Club member perks while on Disney Cruise Line, like Member Celebration events, discounts on spa treatments and merchandise purchases, and even a special gift.
My fingers and toes are crossed that you will be able to use those points for rebooking your Disney cruise because there’s
so much included when you sail with Captain Mickey. In fact, there is truly
something for everyone.
“You’re welcome” to come back to planDisney anytime you have questions about your vacation planning, whether it be for Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland. We are here for you, George!
SEA ya real soon!
