I booked a cruise through Costco Travel. Can I still take advantage of the travel service between the hotel and port Canaveral, even though in the cruise app it says “declined”? I was never offered an option for travel between the hotel and port.

    Hi there, Joshua!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney. I am glad you sent your question about ground transportation to us! I like to fly into my departure port the day before my cruise to avoid any travel issues impacting my trip, and Disney Cruise Line does partner with local hotels in most areas near their Ports of Call.

Sometimes the "declined' statement simply means you have not yet purchased that service or amenity. Although I cannot speak for Costco Travel, I have used Authorized Disney Vacation Planners to book previous voyages on the Disney Cruise Line and I was able to add ground transportation. Ground transfers can usually be booked by calling Disney Cruise Line. I suggest reviewing the Ground Transportation Details page to find information about your specific departure port, as transportation options differ depending on where you are sailing from. For example, ground transfers between Orlando International Airport and Port Canaveral are available for purchase in 2024. For sailings departing in 2025, private transfers can be purchased.

Does your cruise include a stop at Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point? My family loves playing in the beautiful waters surrounding Disney Castaway Cay, and I highly recommend experiencing Pelican Plunge, two water slides that drop you off into the ocean. They are so fun! I haven't visited Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point yet, but it is definitely on my "must-visit" list. I hope to use the deposit I put down on my last Disney Cruise for the Disney Cruise Line Onboard-Only Offer to visit this new destination! This Placeholder Reservation can be used to get a discount off a select Disney Cruise within 24 months after it was booked. It is the perfect excuse to sail again on the Disney Cruise Line!

Joshua, have a wonderful cruise! I hope you reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions!

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
