Ahoy, Vanessa! Welcome back to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about Disney vacations both on land and at sea.
Combining a sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line with a stay at the
Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite ways to vacation. Since they are two different destinations, you will technically have two separate reservations and there is no need for you to try to link them in My Disney Experience or on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. However, the good news is that Disney makes the transition between the two destinations seamless by offering ground transfers from your Disney World hotel to
Port Canaveral on embarkation day.
Although certain round-trip
ground transportation options can be added online, you must call Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532 to add a one-way transfer from your hotel to Port Canaveral. Cast members are available to speak with you Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST. Be sure to have your Disney Cruise Line reservation number ready and know which Walt Disney World Resort property you will be staying at before your sailing. If you need airport transportation for after your cruise, then you can also add a one-way transfer from Port Canaveral to Orlando International Airport when you call.
If you book ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line, then you will receive details a day or two before embarkation day about when and where to meet the bus at your hotel. Keep in mind that the ride from Disney World to Port Canaveral is approximately one hour, but the buses usually offer movies or other types of entertainment to keep smaller travelers happy.
I’m sure that you will have many more questions as you continue planning your trip for April 2027, so feel free to stop back by
planDisney if you need any more advice. Happy sailing!
