Hello I booked a cruise for April of 2027 and would like to add on a stay at a Disney resort for the days prior to my cruise, how do I make those additions to my trip and set up transportation from the resort to the port on the Disney cruise line buses.

    Ahoy, Vanessa! Welcome to planDisney!

A land and sea vacation is, in my opinion, the best type of vacation you can plan. A visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, combined with the enchanting ocean vibes onboard Disney Cruise Line, is a recipe for some seriously fun times. My family and I recently did the very same thing! We sailed on the Disney Wish and wrapped up that trip with a stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Disney Cruise Line does tend to release its sailings before Walt Disney World Resort releases its room and vacation package reservations. 2027 bookings are not yet available as of this writing. In recent years, Walt Disney World Resort has opened bookings for the following year in the spring or summer.

I recommend keeping a close eye on both the Walt Disney World Resort website and the Disney Parks Blog for updates. If you are on social media, the Disney Parks social pages are also a great resource for up-to-date information.

When reservations do open up, you can make your resort reservation on the Walt Disney World website. At that point, you’ll also be able to book Disney Cruise Line ground transportation from your resort to Port Canaveral by contacting Disney Cruise Line. Note that you can book both your resort reservation and your ground transportation at the same time, if you prefer. If you are flying out of Orlando International Airport, you can also book your return trip from Port Canaveral back to the airport via Disney Cruise Line ground transportation.

This gives you plenty of time to research which resort you’d like to stay at! Aside from Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, another one of my favorites is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. I love the rustic beauty of the massive lobby and the relaxing vibes of the resort as a whole. Whichever resort you choose, there’s a lot to love about the resort hotels around Walt Disney World!

I hope this answers your questions, Vanessa! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your wonderful vacation, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at planDisney. We’re always happy to help!
