Hello. I booked a couple of reservations for my kids at Savi's Workshop for New Years Eve, but the dance group we are traveling with moved our Disney trip up to December 30th. There don't seem to be any openings now. Is there anything we can do?

Hiya Roy! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you’re here!

In just a few short weeks, you'll be headed out on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Well, hold on to your hat, Roy, because it is bound to be a wild ride with so much happening around Walt Disney World! So, how excited are you to experience the magic with your family? I bet you can’t wait, so let’s get to your question so you can go back to getting pumped up for your vacation!

Oh, brother, I’m so sorry to hear the Savi’s Workshop is booked up for the new dates of your visit. But unfortunately, Savi’s Workshop is an extremely popular experience, so reservations do get booked up quite early in advance. While there would not be a release of additional reservations, people do cancel from time to time. So, I would recommend keeping a super close eye on the “Check Availability” of the Savi’s Workshop page in the days leading up to your visit. You just might get lucky and snag a canceled reservation as they come through. While this is rare, it never hurts to try!

Also, walk-ins are accepted from time to time, but this is all based on availability. I would recommend heading to Savi’s Workshop to ask if there is a walk-up list available, and if there is, you can get your name on it for that same day.

Roy, don’t forget to log into your My Disney Experience account and cancel your reservation for the old visit date. As a reminder, the reservation must be canceled at least one day before your reservation date, or the full price per builder will be charged to the card on file.

I do hope these tips will be helpful to you, Roy. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you and will be here to answer any other Walt Disney World vacation planning questions you may have.

    Until next time,
    Diana
