I just booked at Coronado Springs for 4/10. I booked the dining plan but I just realized that the restaurants there do not participate...is that possible? I won't stay there if that is the case. Thanks.

    Rebecca:

I love Pepper Market at Coronado Springs, and it's probably one of my TOP 5 counter service locations.  I can understand why you wouldn't want to stay at the resort if it isn't on the dining plan!

You might want to know that when the dining plan for 2009 came out last year around this time the restaurants at Coronado Springs resort were not included along with a few in Epcot.....(and if you'll notice for 2010, many of the restaurants in Epcot aren't in the first printing of the 2010 dining plan guide, either....)

I believe this is because these restaurants are not run by Disney.  They probably have not finalized their contracts for 2010 and, if it's like last year, will most likely be included in updated versions of the dining plan.

If you're nervous, go ahead and book another moderate hotel so that the price is equivalent for your budget and keep an eye on the dining plans at www.disneyworld.com.  You can always make changes to your reservations and move to Coronado Springs up to 45 days out without any change fees.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
