We booked Copper Creek with points for June 2021. I booked for 8-14 however we really want 5-11. Currently 5-6 and 8-11 are available. For some reason 7 (Monday) is not. Since it's October should I keep checking or book 5-6 then 8-11 and waitlist 7

"Welcome home," Russell! As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member whose home resort is Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, I'm thrilled to chat about your June vacation.

Russell, while the booking window for "home" resorts opens up 11 months in advance, sometimes I'm planning much further ahead and have my heart set on certain dates, so I understand your predicament. From your question it looks like you have a few options and the best choice for your family might come down to how much you're willing to gamble.

First, if your biggest wish is to be in the main building of Disney's Wilderness Lodge and your tolerance for gambling is low, I would stick with the dates you've booked to ensure you have the room that you want.

However, if you're just hoping to be on the grounds, you could always consider booking a split stay with a few nights at Boulder Ridge Villas and a few nights at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. While you would be changing rooms, the interruption in your trip would be very minimal and you would still have access to all of the great resort ammenities throughout your stay. If you choose this option, you could always waitlist the Boulder Ridge Villas portion of your trip and then transfer to Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, should that become available. The benefit of this is that you're guaranteed to have lodging for the night of the 7th.

Russell, if the idea of a "split stay" is intriguing, another option would be to pick a completely different resort for June 5th-7th and then head over to Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge after that. And... it just so happens that my family and I are planning this exact trip. This upcoming summer we will be spending the first half of our vacation at Disney's Riviera Resort and enjoying the Disney Skyliner transportation to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios and then heading to Magic Kingdom Park after we've transferred over to Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Russell, however you choose to secure your June vacation, I hope it's everything dreams are made of. Please come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have. We are all EARS.
