Cher from BC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We have booked a continuous split stay at two disney resorts. Will I be able to book my lightening lanes 7 days before the first stay, and book for the entire length of the trip? I was told this wasn't possible over the phone.

Welcome to planDisney, Cher! Your 2025 visit will be here before you know it, and counting down to your visit is part of the fun! Be sure to mark your calendar to make your advance dining reservations as well as your Lightning Lane selections! Let's talk about exactly how and when you can book those Lightning Lane passes with a split stay so you'll be ready to plan for the magic when the time is right!

Cher, the great news is that if you have a split stay with no gaps in between, you will be eligible to book your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass selections 7 days before your check-in for the first part of your stay for the entire length of your visit. I was able to do this myself for a split stay coming up this week; 7 days before my first resort reservation, I was able to make selections for the length of my visit, which was nice to streamline my planning and not have to return on multiple days to add plans.

To make the most of your Lightning Lane plans, be sure to take a look at the attractions and experiences offered with this service and note that all theme parks, except Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, offer attractions in two separate groups, so you will want to know which attraction you'd like to prioritize from group 1 before you log in to book your selections. Also remember that if your ticket includes the Park Hopper Option, you can make your Multi Pass selections and Single Pass selections in different parks if you'd like; I was able to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Lightning Lane Single Pass for both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle/Run on the same day (as you can see, we have plans to visit all four parks on this busy day!)

Cher, before I let you go, I'd love to share a little lagniappe with you - as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel in 2025, you are eligible for complimentary water park admission on your check-in day to either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park (whichever is open when you visit). Since you are doing a split stay, this means you are eligible for this perk on the check-in day for both of your reservations, potentially giving you two chances to use this exciting benefit to splash into the magic during your visit! Be sure to take advantage of this if it fits in with your plans while you're visiting!

I hope this is helpful, Cher, and that you're able to get all the best Lightning Lane passes for your favorite attractions! If you have any other planning questions before your arrival, come on back anytime to planDisney and let us know! We're always here to help!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
